RBB congratulates Western Diagnostics for the completion of their new facility at Jandakot. The new facility is over 6,000m2 comprising laboratories, offices, warehousing and associated facilities.
RBB was pleased to work with Western Diagnostics, Silver Thomas Haley (architects), BPA Engineering (structural), Steens Gray & Kelly (mechanical), Stantec (electrical), ACOR (hydraulic) and PS Structures (builder) to complete this facility on budget.

Subiaco East Redevelopment Project Tue, Aug 18, 2020
RBB are excited to involved in the next phase of the Subiaco East Redevelopment Project and congratulate RJ Vincent for contract award of the Princess Margaret Hospital Demolition and Remediation.
Early works are due to commence onsite in this month and major structural demolition to begin in early 2021.
The 35,000m2 site includes a number of heritage buildings which will be retained with the site being further developed under the Subi East Master Plan.

Whittlesea Bowls ClubTue, Jul 28, 2020
RBB Melbourne are delighted to be providing QS financial services throughout the construction stage for Whittlesea Bowls Club Refurbishment and Extension Project. The scope of the Bowls Club project covers an area of 1,815m2 and comprises renovation of the existing bowls club and extension to allow for new function rooms, new bar areas, offices, bowls foyers and change room and toilets.
Currently the timber wall framing and structural steel to the extended areas is close to completion and roof truss installation has commenced.
This development is a fantastic example of the increasing quality in the built form in the commercial building space. The forecast completion date is currently scheduled for the end of 2020 and the new upgraded facility will be enjoyed by the Whittlesea community and visitors for many years to come.

Alan has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Upon arriving in Western Australia 8 years ago, Alan worked for Western Power before joining RBB as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Gamu moved to Australia in 2019 after gaining her degree and industry knowledge in South Africa. Gamu joins the RBB team as a Quantity Surveyor with more than 13 years’ Quantity Surveying experience.

Designed by Carabiner Architects once complete, OPH will have a brand new Therapy Hub, Rehabilitation Ward, Neo-Natal Nursery and Maternity Assessment.

Arnold Box Hill DevelopmentTue, Mar 3, 2020
RBB Melbourne is pleased to be providing Quantity Surveying services including BoQ, tender evaluation and full contract administration for the Arnold Box Hill development. Design and Constructed by Ironside, the Arnold features 116 contemporary apartments, a stylish roof terrace and a medical centre. The building spans 14 storeys above ground and includes a 3.5 level basement carpark.
Basement carpark excavation is close to completion and the tower crane will be erected in the coming few weeks.
In mid 2021 the Arnold will be completed and ready for its residents to move in.

New Regional Trade Distribution Centre at Cairns Airport QueenslandThu, Jan 16, 2020
RBB Melbourne is delighted to be working with Air Freight Handling Services (AFHS) to provide full cost planning services for the proposed Regional Trade Distribution Centre (RTDC) in Cairns. The Queensland State Government announced in late October 2019 that Cairns has been selected as one of two regional sites for a new agricultural trade distribution centre.
Air Freight Handling Services Pty Ltd will construct a new state-of-the-art 3,400 square metre facility at Cairns Airport. The proposed facility will expand operations at a new dedicated facility located airside at the Cairns Airport. The facility will target fresh export produce including fish and crustaceans (live and frozen), avocadoes, mangoes, melons, citrus and blueberries, with capacity for future expansion.
The new facility will support rapid airfreight access for regional Queensland’s high-value agricultural producers to key international markets and support regional job creation across the agricultural sector.
AFHS Managing Director, Ms Barb Ford welcomed the selection of Far North Queensland as the location for the Regional Trade Distribution Centre.
“This centre is about boosting access for Queensland’s producers to key overseas markets, which can only be good news in terms of job creation and investment.”
AFHS anticipates that construction of the state-of the-art facility at Cairns Airport will start in the second quarter of 2020 and will take about 13 months.

As testament to the service we provided on this project the Client is reappointing us to provide QS finance services at their subsequent development in the same area. Sean has over nineteen years of industry experience, eight of which have been with RBB. Sean is currently involved in Kings Square Civic Centre Fremantle.
Ken has over thirty-seven years of industry experience, fourteen of which have been with RBB. Ken specialises in commercial projects including the successful completion of Mandurah Forum Shopping Centre, Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, Cockburn Shopping Centre as well as Wesley College Refurbishment Works, Oceanique Luxury Apartments and AIM Expansion. Ken is currently involved in the major expansion of Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
Both Ken and Sean have consistently proven to be a vital part of our team demonstrating leadership, integrity and a willingness to go above and beyond.

RBB are proud to have provided full cost management services to WACHS and BMW on the redevelopment of the Narrogin Health Services hospital. Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley the project includes a new outpatient building, two new birthing rooms with ensuites, a new inpatient ward, theatre, procedure room, sterilising department, dental department, chemotherapy services and refurbished kitchen. Mulgrave Primary School GymnasiumMon, Sep 2, 2019
RBB Melbourne is pleased to be providing full Quantity Surveying services to the Victorian School Building Authority for Mulgrave Primary School’s new gymnasium. RBB have provided cost planning throughout all design stages and a tender evaluation, and we look forward to seeing the project through to completion throughout the contract administration phase.
Tectura Architects’ designed gymnasium has been awarded to Renew Constructions who are set to break ground in September 2019. The project features an indoor sports hall, classroom space, a community stage, staff room, kitchen, change rooms and toilets. The gymnasium will function as the school’s new assembly hall with the first gathering scheduled for Term 3, 2020.

RBB Melbourne are pleased to have provided QS finance services for Castello Hotel Group’s new warehouses in Keysborough. Two warehouses with a combined GFA of 3,670m2, feature an attractive composite clad external façade, high quality internal office space and polished concrete floors. On 24 July 2019 the warehouses reached Practical Completion ahead of schedule and on budget. This development is a fantastic example of the increasing quality in the commercial building space.
